Small Aircraft Experience

Date: 26 August 2013
Location: Basair Aviation College, Bankstown Airport

Being invited by a friend of mine to join him flying as part of his training to bring passengers on small aircraft in one of his fulfillments for his pilot licence.

Really a great opportunity given by this friend to be there with him and experienced the real feel of aircraft taking off and landing. Can really feel the difference as compared to large commercial plane.

Also given a chance to feel the G-force training with him.
Phewww...kinda like it and excited, really felt the changes of blood rush.

Some of the shots taken before, during (flew past Prospect Reservoir & smoke of bushfire sighted) and after the flight...

*Thanks mate for the opportunity given and may you be one of the best pilots in the future.

Malaysian Summit of Australia (MASA) 2013

Date: 5 - 8 July 2013
Location: Sydney

Malaysian Summit of Australia (MASA) - previously known as National Games and Conference (NCG) is being held in Sydney for its first brand new edition.

An annual event organised by Malaysian students studying in Australia under the Malaysian Students' Council of Australai (MASCA).

The summit bring together 5 different components which consisted of Careers, Conference, Excellence Awards, Games and Student Leaders Agenda.

I took part in the MASA Games (competition between the Malaysian students representing each states across Australia) in netball and touch rugby events.
Unfortunately, injured my left knee during one of the matches in netball and have to sit out from the rest of the matches and no chance at all to be with the touch rugby team.

Not much photos taken during the opening ceremony (sorry for the poor quality photos of what I have here)...

Warming up, discussion and team photo session before the match started...

During the game and the injured me...

The team without me, just watched and supported the team till the end of the matches...

*Credits and acknowledgement to a brother of mine here, being the photographer of the day. Also thanks a lot to the foster family here who came to pick me up and sent me home as I can't walk on my own without support at that moment...

Sydney 511 Gathering

Date: 11 May 2013
Location: Sydney Town Hall

Was there "KBC" to try out some night shots and faces of the people in action.

Got the chance to capture live moments of Malaysians in action for a peaceful protest at Sydney Town Hall in solidarity with the rally in Stadium Batu Kawan on 11.05.2013.

They started with a short introduction of the purpose of the gathering followed by national anthem sung together and also a one-minute silence moment.
Peaceful gathering with photos taken and lastly the spiritful shout of "We are Malaysian"...

Snippets of some of the shots taken there...

Video compilation of the photos of that night with some short video clips embeded as well...

2 in 1 Trip to Canberra and Goulburn

Date: 27 - 29 April 2013
Location: Canberra & Goulburn

A 2-night trip down to Canberra with my foster family for overseas postal voting at the Malaysian High Commission.
Stopped by at Weereewa Lookout while on the way to our accomodation at Capital Country Holiday Village in Sutton.

A visit to Cockington Green Gardens at Gold Creek Village which displayed magnificient miniature buildings and gardens from around the world.

Completed our duty as a Malaysian on the 28th of April 2013 being a postal voter in overseas (being too excited and eager as one of the PA and forgot all about photo shooting around the commission throughout the day).

On our way back to Sydney, stopped by at the Big Merino in Goulburn.

Arrived home safely and special thanks to my foster family, ensured me reaching the uni on time by dropping me off there.
