On the weekend before I got my MTB, I went to Lidcombe town area (01/09/2012) and Bankstown area (02/09/2012) to buy some personal stuff and survey around on the pricing.
Only bought some basics and the necessaries for instance the stationaries, food and beverage, daily use stuff, etc...
Then the following week I was browsing through the advertisements on websites looking for a used mountain bike for sale and was so excited and happy to come across one of them which I thinked is kind of affordable and worth of buying it.
I immediately contact the seller to check on the availability as the advertisement was still fresh and I was so lucky because it's still available.
Without wasting time, I quickly set an appointment with the seller to have a look on it (contacted on 06/09 and set appointment on 08/09).
On the 8th of September 2012, took the bus from my campus heading towards Parramatta station and bought some essential stuff at Westfield Parramatta before met up with the seller.
Then the seller and his wife came to pick me up at the shopping centre to their house (so kind of them, really appreciate their kindness to assist me).
Well, my mind was like...for sure I wanna buy that bike and after inspected the condition of it which I am satisfied and there it goes, the sale was a successful one.
The seller even told me that I was really lucky to have get to them first as there was also another interested buyer who wanted to buy that bike as well.
Thank God that I am being given the opportunity to meet them and get the bike.
As a new comer to this new place, I just browsed the Google maps for the route and recognized some of the roads name then I just cycled all the way back to my residence.
My goodness, I just went through all the way on my own and yea the distance was not too far actually as it was for about 12-15km ride on that day (slow ride with navigation on my phone at certain points)...
The most important point is that I made it back on time for my dinner...haha...
The following day (09/09/2012), went out for a walk and survey at a few outlets in Auburn by cycling.
Nothing much to buy although on sales and not an essential stuff for me yet at that moment.
Then continue to tour around Auburn town, went through the station area and Lidcombe oval before went back home.
Some photos and peek view of the MTB near a park at my campus oval --> My Giant ATX 840 (although it's an old and outdated model but I don't really mind as long as it works and I can ride it around, will be my companion for 3 years ehh...)

A New Journey Begins...
On the 26th of August 2012, officially started my new journey in Australia.
Touched down, passed the custom check and exited the arrival hall at 0800 hours.
I was lucky because my supervisor picked me up personally at the Sydney Airport and sent me to my residence at the University of Sydney (Cumberland Campus) in Lidcombe.
Really thank him very much as he is really very kind and gentleman.
Before sending me to the residence, my supervisor drove me on a short city tour and stopped at the Royal Botanics Garden to have a view of Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
My supervisor even said "Take a photo as a proof that you have arrived".
Here goes the photo taken by my supervisor.
We moved on towards the residence in Cumberland Campus and before that my supervisor brought me around the Sydney Olympic Park.
Then reached at Cumberland Campus and opposite the campus, there is a cemetery land which is also the largest in this city which my supervisor told me it's about 3km all along the East Street road... (phewww...)
On this campus, it only has one faculty which is the Health Sciences Faculty with a few disciplines and research groups with respective research teams under the faculty.
I am under the Biomechanics Research Team in the Exercise, Health and Performance Research Group of the Faculty of Health Sciences in University of Sydney.
For this remaining semester, I will be staying in the Yannadah Residence (on-campus accomodation) which is convenient for me to get familiarize with the campus surrounding and easy access to my workstation area.
View of the residence where I am staying now and a peek-view of my room.

My New Journey...
Roughly about 1 week time for me to be prepared and start my new journey in a new place.
That was back in 17-24/08/2012 when I went back home to Ipoh from Kuala Lumpur transferring all my stuff back.
At the same time I need to buy all the necessaries and pack my baggage while people out there especially my Muslim friends were busy preparing for the Raya celebration and friends visiting each other during the festive season.
It was no fun packing the stuff with a limitation of 20kg per luggage for a journey of 3 years study and I have been doing it for a few times sorting stuff out but I can't help it at the end of it and obviously still overweight, so just went through with it (there was a story behind during my check-in at the airport, let it be and only God with the involved persons will know).
On the departure date (25/08/2012), reached the Kuala Lumpur International Airport kinda early because we took shuttle bus all the way to the airport from Ipoh. The flight was at 2210 hours but we were already there by 1730 hours.
After had the luggage checked-in, we took our dinner while waiting and after the dinner we just hanged around the entrance for international departure.
By the way, there were only 2 persons sending me off on that day.
It was not a grand one big family or some friends sending me at the airport but I am thankful and grateful that I'm still not all alone by my own prior to departure.
Apart from that, the blessings and wishes and gifts from all my friends and relatives were all a very blessed one for me before I'm off to KLIA, thanks to all of them.
There were only my youngest brother and my very important person of my life being together with me.
Before I went into the departure hall, managed to capture a photo with my youngest brother.
It was a mixed feelings for me at that moment, being happy and excited to be at a new place for some new experiences but also felt sad having to be parted from family and also friends around me.
I was trying very hard to control my feelings actually at that moment and tried not to let my tears rolling down my cheek, still managed to control it up till that moment.
Around 2100 hours, I made my move to enter the departure hall and started bidding good bye to both of them who accompanied me all the way from Ipoh.
It was that moment when I was on my own going down the escalator, the tears rolled down automatically and I can't help it anymore.
I just let the tears drop while looked up at them who were still there waving at me until when I could not see them anymore.
That was the moment when I was by my own with strangers around me and it was my first time boarding a flight all alone to be away from my home country.
Walked through into the hall, searched for Gate C15 and being by myself at the waiting area, waited for a while to board the plane.
Then the announcement was made and there I went boarding the plane and away from Malaysia heading to Australia in about an eight hours flight to begin my new journey as a post graduate student in University of Sydney, Cumberland Campus under the Exercise, Health & Performance Research at Faculty of Health Sciences.
* I am not being afraid to be alone but I will be afraid if I never take up the opportunities and chances to explore into a new place which is unknown to me...

Life Before My New Journey...
What I want to scribble about on this post yea...
Generally on what I did before I'm here now in a new place and back to the life of study but now it's into research stuff. So it's a more flexible study though but really need to be very discipline especially on time management to manage the whole thing in order to complete it in time.
Hmm...
I was kinda active with outdoor activities and all sort of outing during my undergraduate study back in Sultan Idris Education University (July 2007- December 2010). The most was in between 2008 until 2010 where I used to join lots of activities in the university, going around all over until a friend of mine said "Busy betul YB ni"...haha... Then 2009 getting more active with outdoor stuff in Kenaboi Adventure Team in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan during my weekends when I have no activities in university towards the end of 2010.
January 2011 back to Ipoh and getting ready to have the teaching practical in school which started in February until the 20th of May 2011. It was a memorable moment although just for a few months attachment at SMK Gunung Rapat. One of the best moments was being together with the school hockey team, spent time during their training in school and in the district level hockey competition. Also not forgetting the moments teaching those students in the Physical Education subject and also Sport Science. Especially the last session of teaching them basic skills of rugby. They really enjoy learning it although they are all girls. Then the school soccer team with some physical training given to them, which were some sort of enjoying stuff to do. Lastly, the final one was training the students for preparation for the Malaysian School Sports Council Track and Field Event Opening ceremony on the last day of practical which I ended up reached home at 12 mid night but really enjoyed it. I miss those moments with the students...
Then on the 23rd of May 2011, I went for a temporary job interview at a legal firm in Ipoh. My friend informed me wrongly to attend for an interview, actually I'm to start work on that day. It was so funny at that moment because I started work directly and was kinda blur actually. I worked as an administrative assistant for a few months, then my boss transferred me to assist another department as a relationship executive. It was a challenging post for me as I need to deal and communicate with the clients. Customer based job is not a real easy task, so we should respect those in this line and be more patient sometimes because we don't really understand how the cycle of that organization work. I really learned a lot at this firm, which I got a chance to be exposed to people of all sort of personality and attitude.
Come 2012 and by March I was in Kuala Lumpur. On and off I will be back to Ipoh. Most of the time during the weekends, I went for my part time job as an outdoor activities instructor with the Outbac Broga Team. That was the moment when I really learned and practiced on the outdoor skills. For example in activities like abseiling, rock climbing, flying fox, etc. Apart from that, we were provided with training as well to polish up our skills. I missed out the opportunity to learn the fire performance skill and it was really wonderful and fantastic to see my colleagues performing it during the campfire at night.
At last, I got an offer to further my study in University of Sydney (where I am right now) and I arrived in Sydney on the 26th of August 2012 to begin a new journey at a new place with new surrounding and environment and people around me. More updates on coming posts...
