"This is where I sat"
"The emergency door"
"Look safe right..."
That's all about the stunt I experienced for the first time (emergency door which turned out to be a stunt). Reached the hostel, immediately took all my stuff and put into my car and then drove back to hometown. From Tanjung Malim to Bidor area, kinda lots of vehicles but after that starting from Tapah and all the way to Ayer Tawar not much vehicles (one of the reason I think it's 'buka puasa' time). So boring and was driving kinda fast because want to reach home as soon as possible (kinda tired actually, that's why drive fast).
Because kinda boring driving alone, did took some nice scenery pictures at the 'kampung' area. The pictures kinda blur because was driving so can't focus much. Hahaha...I am crazy right... Driving and snapping photos at the same time. It is not advisable to do this because really need a high concentration and focus on doing two things at one time (driving and snapping photos).
"Really a 'kampung' feel here"

So after the discussion, quickly went back to my room and get ready to attend the fitness test. The fitness test served as an indicator to select 20 people that are fitter to join the Mount Kinabalu Expedition which will be held at the end of this year. Waited there for quite a long time before the test kicked off, we start the test quite late at about 11:40 p.m. if I'm not mistaken. We were required to run 2.4 kilometres in a stipulated time.
I was kinda full with food and during the running test, not feeling very comfortable with my stomach content actually...hahaha... Anyway don't have any problem lar during the whole test and I think I had done it not very bad because didn't have any training before this test and I managed to clock 10 minutes and 33 seconds to finish the distance.
After everybody finished the test, we were told by the person in charge that after the Hari Raya break we will be told about the training program which everyone needs to undergo as a preparation for us to face the challenges ahead of us in Mount Kinabalu. Then we were dismissed and I went back to my room quickly to have my bath because I was so sweaty and felt very hot as well especially on my face.
Felt fresh after the bath and can't sleep after that, so I did the Motor Learning field work report till early morning at about 6:00 p.m. Then brushed my teeth, cleaned up myself, changed to my formal attire and guess what...after doing all those stuff I automatically laid down on my bed and had a short sleep until 7:10 a.m. and then woke up to have my morning drink and lastly at 7:20 a.m. went out to campus to attend 8:00 a.m. class. Fuh...kinda tired, so wanna have a nap now...

"A photo session in the waiting room before the interview starts"
Our interview session started at 10:35a.m. and ended at about 11:40a.m. Everything went on smoothly and the captain was very co operative during the session. From the interview also we get to know more about shipping industry in Malaysia because before this we don't know much about shipping. This is a good opportunity for us because it's not easy to set an appointment with a captain to spend some time for interview as he also has a lot of work to do.
"Before the interview kick off..."
"This is the Captain that we interviewed"
"The Captain explaining something to us"
"Presenting souvenier to the captain"
"This is the souvenier that we gave the captain"
"This is the collar button badge given by the company (cute and nice)"
Went back directly to Tanjung Malim after everything is settled. So start journey at 12:15p.m and reached UPSI at about 1:00p.m. Took lunch because kinda hungry and after that attend the class at 2:00p.m.

"This is the view of my study table which is in such a mess"Haiya...so bad right. A bed was suppose to be a comfortable place to sleep and relax our body but then I've use it for doing my work on it...hahaha... So my bed is kinda mess up also with books and papers all over. Haiz...what a bad attitude here...hehe...
"The mess up bed..."
It was such a hot weather (my room was like an oven) here the past few days and I don't consume enough water, so as a result I got sore throat then come the running nose and lastly a real bad cough which is until today not cured yet. Now I don't have much voice due to the bad cough and it's kinda pain in my throat and my stomach...huhu... Hopefully can recover as soon as possible.

Before the "buka puasa" time, our mentor gave some speech to us and really hope that all of us will always be united till the end of our study here. At the same time, he also congratulated those who were in the Dean's List for last semester (2nd semester) and hoping that those who scored can maintain the result and for the others must strive hard to achieve a better result.
"Our mentor giving speech before 'buka puasa'"
"Listening to the speech"
He stopped his speech and there's a short prayer by one of my friend before everybody started to have the meal. Everyone seems like was enjoying the meal and chit chatting with each other since we don't always have this opportunity to sit down together and have meal. So after the meal, our mentor continued with his speech and advices. Anyone with any queries may also raise the question to him and we discuss the matter together.
"That's the guy who will lead the prayer"
"Let's have drinks..."
"Self-service...take your own meal"
Lastly was the ceremony of giving souvenier to our mentor but he didn't want to accept it and he gave those souveniers to the three person who was in the Dean's List for last semester. Although just a simple gathering at simple location with simple meal but it's a golden opportunity for us to get together as it is not easy to set a time where everybody can attend an event being organized. Of course before going back to the hostel, some photo session with friends...

After finish doing the test, went to the Faculty of Languages to see my Communicative English II lecturer. I wanted to show her the questions that my group will ask the interviewee in the coming interview which we'll be doing on this coming Monday (will interview an ex-ship captain). At first the lecturer was not there, so I went down and planned to take a seat at the shaded area outside there while waiting (consultation hour for the day is 4:00 p.m. and it was only 3:30 p.m.).
On my way going out of the faculty, I passed by a guy and I was thinking...look very familiar lar this person. Then I was thinking, is he the discipline teacher from SMK Methodist ACS Sitiawan (my form 6 school)...??? Hm...we passed by each other just in a flash, so I didn't think much about it.
Was sitting outside there, under the trees in shaded area while waiting for the time to be 4:00 p.m. Then once again, I saw that person and he was also sitting in that area (I guess he was waiting for someone). (Lay Chooi you do really have to read this...) I had a proper look on him and I was confirmed that he is the teacher from that school, so I went up to him and asked...
YunLoi: "Good evening, sir... Are you Mr. Krishnasamy from ACS Sitiawan?"
Mr. K: "Good evening. Yes, I am."
Yun Loi: "I was studying Form six in ACS Sitiawan before this."
Mr. K: "Yes, I remembered you. You are with the girl from Pundut."
Yun Loi: "Chandran..."
Mr. K: "No... A girl...the 'Cindian' girl, same batch as you if I'm not mistaken."
YunLoi: "She was a prefect...???"
Mr. K: "Yes, she was..."
Yun Loi: "Oh...Lay Chooi is it..."
Mr. K: "Yeah, Lay Chooi... You all are in the same batch right?"
Yun Loi: "Yes, we were..."
There were still some more of the conversation that I didn't put in here. Well, the main purpose here is that this world happen to be so small that I get to meet the discipline teacher in UPSI today and he did remember me and Lay Chooi. Anyway he was here in UPSI to meet his lecturer and I get to know that he is doing his Masters here and also will graduate next year during the first session of the UPSI convocation event(around March, I guess).
The first was in the morning where I woke up at 7:45a.m. and I was so shock when I woke up at that moment. I was so blur as well and rushed into the toilet, pack my things and quickly ran up to the bus stop. Gotta wait for a while for the bus and as soon as the bus arrived, quickly get into the bus and the moment the bus departed from my hostel is already 7:54 a.m. (my class is 8:00 a.m.).
When in the bus, I was like...oohh...what a long journey to reach the campus (6km) but of course at last reach there (8:08 a.m.) and walked very fast like a marathon walker...haha... Then reached the Motor Learning lab at about 8:13 a.m. if I'm not mistaken and luckily the lecturer haven't started the class. I was so relieved at that time...fuh...
The class ended at 10:30 a.m. and went up to the faculty to have a look on the mid sem examination mark (Exercise Physiology II and Pemikiran Strategik&Inovatif)...not too bad... After that, went back to hostel to have some rest and of course have my lunch as well because the next class will be at 3:00 p.m.
After finish taking my lunch at 1:30 p.m., I planned to have a short nap before going to campus again around 2:20 p.m. So from just a simple and short nap, I fell asleep...(haiz...too tired, I guess). Once again when I woke up from my sleep, I was in shock again because I'll be late for the second time on one same day (woke up at 2:40 p.m.).
Rushing out to board the bus and luckily there was a bus but it didn't move because was waiting for some more people to take the bus. I was like...arrghhh...when will the bus start moving...!!! Kinda tension waiting there but what to do, it's my own fault of waking up late. The bus then started to move at 2:50 p.m. Arrghh...another long journey there and reached the campus at about 3:00 p.m.
Walking so fast like a mad people for the second time and was so lucky that my friend (Azura) who was driving her car, passed by me and gave me a drive. Of course was late to enter the Exercise Physiology II lab but at least a bit faster than if I was to walk to there. Presentation just started the moment when I entered the lab and luckily was not scolded by the lecturer.
Well, I was one of the lucky person yesterday being selected to present my journal review (individual presentation). Anyway, luckily I was ready for that and as such no problem for me to do it. Hm...for the first time I experienced this kind of situation (wake up late to attend class twice on one same day). Hopefully it won't happen anymore after this...
Wanted to blog about this thing yesterday but the wireless connection here had been in a poor condition for the past two days. So today I get to connect to the wireless connection and quickly update my blog...hehe...

Alright, let's go back to the main thing I want to throw out within me. Last two days was listening to the Exercise Physiology II lab report presentation by my coursemates (there were two groups of them). My group and this two groups are conducting the same test but in different environment (mine-thermoneutral, the other 2 groups-hot and cold). My group had done the report and present the results even before the mid sem break. So when they were presenting, I felt very familiar with the graph pattern they used (this is not a big deal) and what shocked me were the discussions part (how can we have the same explanation). Maybe certain things can be same but the main thing here is that the sentences being used were totally the same as mine.
After they finished presenting, the lecturer did raised up this problem. She said that she realized that all the three groups were having the same report in terms of the content. She did asked who did the 'copy paste work' and of course my group was not the one because we were the first group to hand in the report. Of course nobody will want to admit it and as such the lecturer said all the three groups will be penalised (total mark obtained will be divided by 3). Oh gosh...I was kinda angry (hot...) at that time, who want to have such a low mark after the hard work and effort being put in completing the report. So we were given 3 days to give a good explanation to the lecturer.
After the lecture, we directly went to the lecturer's room to give explanation and of course to protect my group because this is where we want to accumulate marks before the final exam (ensure that we score as much as possible). The two groups went in first to give explanation to the lecturer. After they are done, they even told me that everything is okay already so no need to worry (actually they felt guilty).
Anyway I still went in and see the lecturer to have my words because they only talked about the introduction part but not the important part (results and discussions). I showed the lecturer the graph part (how can be the same pattern) and there's one group with the graph title in 'thermoneutral' (obviously copied ours). Then the most amazing part is the discussions where they copied everything 100% from my report without even changing the words and sentences, the only changes they made is the arrangement of the paragraph (oh gosh...how can they do that).
The lecturer of course felt angry with this kind of attitude and as for me, I felt kinda disappointed because they are my coursemates and yet this thing happened. I don't mean to find their fault but this is for their own good and besides that of course to protect my group as well (sometimes we have to be selfish). So next week, the lecturer will bring up this matter again in class and at the same time want to know who is the one from my group that gave them our softcopy of the report.
I felt sorry for them as well with all the information I had provided to the lecturer but I have to. I don't know why they did that and I don't mind if they are just taking it as a reference (not expecting them to copy 100% but at least just pick a few items and edit it la...). Well...don't know what action will be taken by the lecturer, hopefully not a decision that will affect my marks. I don't like this kind of situation... Oh...'buka puasa' already and I'm a bit late, gotta go and have my dinner...!!!

Yesterday (2 September 2008), everyone must be prepared with presentation for the assignments given in July. There were two tasks that we need to be prepared: (1) journal review of comparing & contrasting (individual work) and (2) sports specific physiological requirements & the specific tests (group work). Besides Power Point presentation, of course need to hand in on-paper as well. This four weeks everyone must be ready for the presentation.
So that is not the big deal of completing the assignments given. What I wanna tell you all here is that we must always be ready because there is no fixed arrangement of who will starts first. The lecturer will select randomly a few people and a few groups on any of the tasks then you gotta present in a randomly blind manner (either the individual or the group assignment). Depends on you are called to present on which one. So I can say at here that the situation was like a lucky draw event...hahaha...and of course not a lucky draw to get prizes but to do presentation.
Yesterday was the first day of the presentation session, everyone was so nervous and afraid of being called up. Of course it is compulsory for everyone to present but then it's just an uneasy feeling there because you can't focus on which one to be prepared. Well, I was not the lucky one yesterday so need to be prepared for the upcoming sessions...
So I think I was on a constant speed all the way from Ayer Tawar - Kg. Gajah - Tapah - Bidor - Slim River - Tanjung Malim at around 100 to 120 km/hr. Felt nice with the speed because usually when I drove from Tanjung Malim - Ayer Tawar or Ayer Tawar - Tanjung Malim, I was around 80 to 100 km/hr only. Well, I can't stop myself from speeding because there's no heavy traffic on the road and even at certain part I was all alone. Anyway I didn't go further more than 120 km/hr lar...(just driving a Proton Saga ok, not a racing car...).
It's diffilcult for me to drive at the speed of 60 km/hr (kinda slow for me) because felt like not moving...haha... Sometimes at the speed of 70 or 80 km/hr also seems like nothing for me. Hm...am I addicted to driving at fast speed... I don't know...but if you people are driving all alone by yourself then you'll get what I mean and feel what I felt. By the way, I reached Tanjung Malim at 8:15pm that day (first time having a 2 hours and 5 minutes journey because usually took about 2 hours and 10/15 minutes, if driving all the way at about 60-80 km/hr then will took about 2 hours and 30 minutes I guess).
I was thinking...if I can apply the "SPEED" in doing my assignments then would be better...hahaha... Of course also having a quality work as well besides having a task done in a short time.
